Street Markets in Orihuela, Alicante
If you're a fan of the mighty Spanish street market, there are plenty to choose from around Orihuela. Mondays Cox, Formentera del Segura and Granja de Rocamora all their street markets burst to life, while Orihuela (city), Benferril, Benijofar, Daya Nueva, San Fulgencio operate on Tuesdays. Mil Palmeras also operates on Tuesdays, but only in the evening.
The market stalls of Algorfa, Callose de Segura, Guardamar del Segura, San Isidro and San Miguel de Salinas open Wednesday. Thursday is less hectic, with only Albatera and Bigastro hosting markets.
Dolores and Torrevieja are the big hitters on Fridays - note Montesinos and Pilar de la Horadada also are open Fridays, but only in the evening.
On weekends, Almoradà and Catral have their street markets on Saturday, while Albatera, La Murada, Campico de Guardamar del Segura open Sunday. Sunday also sees Guardamar del Segura's second-hand market doing business.
