Location and Access to Orihuela, Alicante
Make do in Brighton or make haste to sun-drenched Spain.
The municipal district of Orihuela spreads inland from its 16km of white sand Mediterranean beaches to the Orihuela and Hurchillo mountains. Stretched along its coast, 30km from the municipality's capital, Orihuela, are the picturesque communities of Cabo Roig, Playa Flameca, Blue Hills, Campaomor and Las Ramblas. Just off the coast is the golfing haven of Villamartin.
Further inland, at the foothill of the Orihuela mountains, is where you'll find the capital. The city is a short 20 minute drive to Alicante's El Altet airport, while a trip to Murcia's San Javier airport takes just 10 minutes longer. Nowhere in the municipality is further than 40 minutes from one of the two airports, both of which are only a 2.5 hour flight from the UK. Having two international airports so close to your Spanish doorstep gives you plenty of flight options.
Both airports have daily scheduled and charter flights to the UK.
